A Work and It’s Story

“Red Canoe Along the Shore”

The canoe is an iconic Canadian symbol. It evokes how the country was explored and created, symbolizes the spirit of our Northern lands and the freedom it gives to travel it. I have taken many a trip and made many a paddle so this work is inspired by the cumulative impacts those trips have made upon me. The red canoe chosen as to me it  is as Canadian a symbol as the red maple leaf.
